New Brief

The usual story : The client decided to “optimize” the design and the budget. Despite the obvious advantages of aesthetics as well as the structural & an environmental ones ( the elliptical shape offered better protection to winds and lower temperatures by incorporating specials ventilation systems) the design was too bold and too pricey.

The new brief changed the design into an industrial one, which blended with the other existing buildings. Some of the facilities were also removed : no more library, coffee shop & reduced seating but added squash as the new sport activity( the boss was fond of squash!)
